Coming This Week
This Sunday is the 21st Sunday after Pentecost. Linda's message will be “No One Can See Me and Live.” The choir will sing “Challenge.”
In Sunday School, Linda will be talking about "Why 'Presbyterian' Will Never Be A Political Party" using insights from the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) Social Witness Policy, compiled in 2026 for the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America. The following week will start a study of the book "How We Learn to Be Brave: Decisive Moments in Life and Faith" by Mariann Edgar Budde, the bishop and spiritual leader of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington, D.C., and the Washington National Cathedral.
There is a stated Session meeting following Sunday School.
It is Northside's turn to "Feed the Flock" at Ukirk on Tuesday, October 20. See or contact Jane Jones ((540) 250-1963 or mooshulover@yahoo.com) to sign up to serve this meal.
The Rev. Kathy Carpenter will be preaching on Sunday, October 25.

Stewardship Season
During this Stewardship season, think about the gifts that God has given you and how you can cheerfully give back to God. For some time, despite our small membership, Northside's members and friends have continued to faithfully work to further God’s kingdom and serve His people. We have generously given back a portion of what God has given us. We are grateful for your past gifts and we ask that you please prayerfully consider your pledge for the upcoming year.
The pledge letter is in your church mailbox; others will receive it in the mail. Please complete and drop off this Pledge form to the church by November 1, or copy the form and send it as an email attachment to NPC Associate Treasurer, Emily Davis (emily@epdavis.net).
Stewardship season always sees the return of Stu Bear to remind all of us about helping and serving others. Ella Green was chosen to care for Stu Bear for the week. The whole family came to help pack and deliver Monday Night Suppers, including Stu Bear, who kept an eye on all the helpers.

Updated Office Hours
With Linda's move to 3/4 time, there are some changes in office hours and availability. Linda will be in the office on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, typically from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. She will be off on Thursday and Friday. She will be available for an emergency, such as a serious illness, hospitalization, family crisis, or death. The first contact when Linda isn't available is the Officer on Call, who is listed in the eUpdate each week, the Sunday bulletin, on the church website on the "For Us" page, and on the church answering machine message.
Bruce, our Administrative Assistant, is in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, typically from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
These hours are subject to change for both due to meetings and other activities.
